Hooks

As part of our continuous development program at Stornoway Plastics, we looked at our Creel Hook and felt several improvements could be incorporated. This assessment resulted in an All New Mould being manufactured in our Tool Room. We tasked our Polymer Supplier, with finding a compound, which was stiff, remained stable, and was truly unbreakable at all temperatures.

Hook - CAD to Product I think you'll agree they have delivered on all counts. A pleasant side effect is the new blue colour.

The new hook retains the Patented two string fixing holes, and has a wider throat opening. For those who prefer to open the creel in the traditional manner we have added grips near the eye. We have also added serrations behind the grips to stop slip when using wet gloves, this is particularly useful when using salt bait.

Since its introduction 4 years ago the blue hook has continued to sell well. With over 100,000 sold in 2004, it remains a keen favourite with fishermen in 7 European countries. The hook is available on its own or with the 6mm shock cord fitted.
