OVERVIEW
Kingfisher creels are a revolutionary new type of creel which represent a
major step forward in creel technology. They are manufactured using a
simple, yet ingenious new system which is covered by the Patent application
number WO2007GB03009 20070807 and Priority number GB20060016120 20060814
Using the same plastic coated steel frame, currently only manufactured by
leading creel maker Caithness Creels, they are made using a series of
patented plastic panels which clip on to the frame, replacing the net and
rope binding that is used in traditional creels.
They are designed to be the same size, shape
and weight of traditional creels making them
easy to use and compatible with all the existing
gear used on a boat and they have all the existing
qualities of traditional creels plus many other
benefits. Kingfisher Creels offer a strong, long
lasting and repairable alternative to traditional creels
without any compromise.

Having successfully launched the 22” prawn and velvet
version of the creels in 2007 we have now developed a
heavy duty version for crab and lobster fishing as well as
a shrimp pot version of the creel. This means there is now
a full range of Kingfisher Creels available to meet the needs
of all creel fishermen. Click on the headings for more details.
