FORMERLY KNOWN AS OUR QUICK RELEASE SPINNER
Stornoway Plastics has launched a new Spinner, which will allow a Creel to be changed at sea in less than ten seconds, this without using knots or splices. The all new Poly Shackle has a unique shape, that allows the rope to be threaded in such a way as to be totally secure and yet be easily released no matter how tight the rope has been pulled.
The Spinning action is achieved by having an eye at the other end large enough to pass the rope through twice with a knot. The two tails thus produced can be tied to the creel corners or on top of the creel.
The Poly Shackle shape and grips ensure no slippage and has been destructive tested against all leading ropes. It works equally well with soft or hard ropes. The choice of Nylon for the final product has been thoroughly researched and tested in conjunction with a leading polymer manufacturer. The resulting grade is compatible with the marine environment and is formulated to withstand shock loads. It comes in two models for 10mm and 12mm Rope.
